We hosted our semi-annual Give Back Jack dinner this past Wednesday evening at the Headliner’s Club, and we are thrilled to say that it was a huge success. Keynote speaker, Ken DeAngelis, founder of Austin Ventures, gave an inspiring and relevant speech on giving back to philanthropic organizations that you feel passionate about. If you are still looking for yours, take a minute to look through our partner organizations to get a feel for Non-Profits in Austin.

We also want to say a special thank you to our fantastic table mentors, all of who are involved in the Austin community and philanthropy. The men in attendance were able to discuss not only their path to success, but also ways in which they are involved in supporting their local community.
It was a wonderful evening and we are looking forward to our next Give Back Jack in the Spring!

I am very sad to say, that today is my last day at I Live Here, I Give Here. As some of you may know, I have been working on a contract basis as the Director of Special Events & Community Outreach. It is now time for me to say not good bye, but a sweet & simple, so long for now...
Although I am devastated to leave such an amazing group of women & such an outstanding organization, I feel honored to have been blessed with this experience. Through my job at I Live Here, I Give Here, I had the privilege to meet some of the most intelligent and wonderful people in Austin, TX. Not being a native Texan, I couldn't have asked for a better opportunity to meet people. I'm walking out of my office today with amazing people and lasting friendships, which is much more than what many people leave with from their jobs.
I Live Here, I Give Here may be young, but it's on the fast-track to success. I should know...I planned the BIGGEST and BEST event, to date;)
Again, thank you to everyone I've met along the way. I couldn't have had such successes without you.

Moffet, OUT.

This week, the world lost one of the most influential people of our lifetime. Steve Jobs changed the way we live, and ironically, many of us learned the news of his death on a device that he conceptualized. Mr. Jobs had a brilliant mind that thought in a different way than most people’s - he was able to marry technology with art and function with fun. He was universally admired and respected and I can't think of another CEO whose death would prompt such an outpouring of public grief and support.
